NCHU / IAC is proud to present the 2022-2023 Green Campus Student Projects Poster Repository Exhibition and International Forum on November 2, 2023.
NCHU has made sustainability a top priority for its policies, education, and campus life.
NCHU/IAC has therefor initiated the ongoing Green Campus Project in September 2021
to promote a more sustainable campus at NCHU. Its goals are to improve awareness of
sustainable development issues as expressed in the 17 United Nations SDGs, and foster
engagement for action to create a more sustainable campus, by teachers, staff, and
students.
Students from our Entomology and Education departments under the inspiring guidance
of Professors Hwang Shaw-Yhi and Pai Hui-Chuan, have surveyed our campus in their
class room Living Labs for two years and suggested solutions and strategies to
sustainability issues that they have found there.
These student initiatives have lead to in total almost 40 projects which were presented to
a panel of international experts at our November 2, 2023 International Forum.
The abovementioned project posters are brought together to form a Poster Repository: a
collection of projects that forms a basis for new groups of students to really work
towards implementation and actualization of the project-ideas and to have impact on our
campus life. In this way we envisage that the Poster Repository will function as a village
square where people can find projects and projects may invite people to gather around.
The on-campus auditing will continue as we seek to expand the project to more
classrooms and eventually, throughout the campus.
We thank all people involved, especially our dedicated professors and hardworking
students, and are looking very much forward to the next stage of our project.
